Best 22lr ar?

What's the best 22lr ar out there for quality/reliability.

Should I be looking at the smith and Wesson mp15 22lr, the colt (umarex) m4 22lr?

Other options in exploring would be a colt 6920 and buying a Cmmg 22lr conversion kit, or another option is a dedicated 22lr upper?

Budget is around $1500.

How does the cmmg upper work? I was thinking of building a 22LR AR I picked up a ATI lower and a Daniel Defense parts kit Trying to build a low budget AR in 22LR. Saw the Chiappa's mixed reviews. I also was thinking of a pistol AR Shorter the barrel and the cost goes up Wanstals has some uppers. Not sure what they re Tactical something Sorry OP not to side track
 
With a mp15 though I'm restricted to ten round magazines. Colt m4 22 comes with 30 round magazines.

If you're getting a new upper that will run 22lr I don't see how it would be any less accurate than the 15-22. That said, I have no experience with conversion kits.

You pop the upper onto your lower. That's it. You can also simply switch out the 556 bolt for a 22LR bolt without changing out the 556 upper.

Accuracy with a 22LR upper vs M&P 15 will be similar if not exactly the same. I believe the M&P 15 will be more reliable.
 
I have no problem buying a real 556 but see myself shooting 22lr more often (cost and magazine capacity are the biggest appeal)
 
While it is NOT a true AR, but you can't go to far wrong with a Ruger SR10/22. It will accept virtually all Ruger 10/22 accessories & upgrades and has the 10/22's reliability.

Yup that is one that I looked at originally, I like that it's nr, but it felt really heavy when I handled it and its appeal was lost for me.

I'm thinking of now either a:

From cheapest option to most expensive:
S&W mp15-22lr (cons - limited to 10 round mags)
CMMG - .22LR MK4 LE (cons - don't know how reliable the build quality is)
Colt6920 with a cmmg conversion kit (Con - most expensive and probably won't shoot a lot of 5.56 anyways)
