The A17 is here!

I'm pretty sure he put a scope on there but was just pointing out the fact that it needs one in order to be shot. Or at least I hope so anyway....

A guy came into lgs with a 50bmg and he shot a few hundred rounds without a scope or sights. And when he did get a scope it was a $200 scorpion

I shot about 50 rounds with out and about 150 with my buddy's scope off his savage bolt action 17hmr. There is no sites on the a17 so it is useless basically without.

Little off topic but what kind of scope would you recommend? 3-9? 4-12? 30-40mm?

Are you going to hunt or just shoot targets with it? At what ranges?

I have a Bushnell 3x9 that has a BDC dial that works out really nice for my Marlin 17. I think Bushnell has a scope that it kinda tailored to the A17.

How do you find the trigger on your A17, and can you adjust the trigger properly with the Savage adjustable trigger?

The trigger is really intriguing actually. This is the first firearm that I've played with the trigger. There is quite a noticeable difference when you change the settings. Savage includes a little tool much like a really skinny Allen wrench and there is a whole drilled through the trigger guard and into the trigger couple turns either way and you are good to go. I've played around with it but put it back to the factory setting (half way)

The a17 launch page does recommend a bushnell scope but the reviews I read on it are terrible!
