Hey experts. I have a Ducks unlimited winchester 12-20 guage and I am trying to come up with a reasonable asking price for it. I would say the gun is anywhere from 90-95 percent as new for asthetics and has less than 150 rounds down the tube. When I search for similar guns the prices are rediculous....anywhere from 1100 to 2000 dollars for a new gun. As it was won in a competition I did not pay for it new and frankly if I had of known or bothered to care what the price was I probably would not have used it. But I use my guns.....because that is what they are for....that is till till I stop using them.....and pass them on to someone who will.

Generally DU collectors are looking for an unfired gun in the original box. Yours, you're now into used Model 12 20 gauge territory. Still a valuable gun, though, worth more than any brand new 20 gauge pump, I would say.

Pics would help clarify your judgements.
 
These guns are made to be raffled off or given as prizes. Something about high-gloss figured wood gets those wallets to open at the ticket table.

I would never refuse such a nice 20ga. Model 12, but I'm not looking to pay collector price for one either, by which I mean the market isn't super hot. People will still want the details, meaning barrel length, choke, vent rib… For lightly used might be able to nail +30% over a standard version I would wager; actual collectors might pay those you were shocked by.

That your gun in the photo? Don't think it's as low as 90%, which would put it practically down to beater grade for one of these!
 
It's not hand engraving every model is engraved identical nice wood $850- 1000.00 at the top end . The world is flooded with du guns , prints , and other mass marketed stuff . U can not walk into a restaurant without seeing a silent auction print . There only about 2 models of guns that have some value that's about it out of the 1000's out there

Hmmm, you were given a value of $850.00-$1000.00 but you are thinking of staring it at $500.00. Remember, this is not an auction site. Being a 20 gauge, and in the condition it is in, list it at $500.00 and it will be gone in well under 5 minutes. But if money is no concern and you want it gone super fast, then by all means list it at $500.00.
 
I only posted this to find out what I should be realistically asking for it when I sell it. Pm's telling me I am out to lunch or an idiot aren't really required. Thanks for your input those who gave it.
