Anyone tried this yet?
I would have but at $7.00 after taxes it appeared a little rich with a questionable supply trail.
On the box they suggest "Eley Primed" . . . whatever that might mean.

I bought some but havent tried them yet.

Have heard they are decent ammo, Eley primed means they use the brand Eley and its an olympic brand ..

I guess you have to try them in your rifle and see if it works good or not.

The Aguila Subsonic were selling at my local CT for $7.49 for a box. They also had the Aguila HV and the Aguila Standard Velocity. I bought 12 of the SV at $6.49 and tried out one box on the weekend. Not bad.

I saw them as well but passed, too expensive for .22lr.

I picked up 6 boxes of the SV stuff. I haven't had time to try it yet. It looks pretty good but has a much different wax then I'm used to seeing with match ammo. I don't know if that's good or bad.

I asked how much my local store received and the guy said about enough for a few weeks. So who really cares if it shoots amazingly if you can only get a few boxes.

The Aguila subsonic lead has proven to shoot better than the SK standard and Eley club out of my CZ 455 at 25 and 50 yards (and about the same accuracy as the RWS subsonic and club but for lower cost). I picked up a pile of it last week when CT had their sale where you spend $100 or more and get a $25 off card.

Dam Crappy Tire.
They got the first container of the Aguila ammo and now those SSS too.
I want to try a box of those 60 grn in my CZ 452 and see how they shoot .
Seven $$ is pricey for plinking, but certainly cheap fun for say ''Gophers''??
There is a store back East selling Rem. Yellow Jackets for 79.00 a brick and I consider those to be substandard in that I
always end up with f2f in every box( past experience ) and no longer use them.
Aguila does use ''Elley'' primer compound as told to me by the local BC Rep, whether it makes a difference in the powder that Agulia uses
I can not say till I shoot some myself.
From Midway''aguila ammunition features a wide variety of unique loads for special rimfire applications. Sniper Subsonic Ammunition is loaded with the heaviest bullet available for .22 Long Rifle. The 60 Grain bullet travels at subsonic speeds for quiet shooting yet delivers enough power for small game. This ammunition is new-production and non-corrosive and is recommended for use in bolt action rifles.''

Only thing is, the subsonic ammo CT is carrying is not the 60gr. variety. At least not in my area (NS).

Anyone trying the 60 grain SSS may have accuracy issues - tumbling. These are meant for a 1 in 9" twist barrel, regular 1 in 16" twist has problems stabilizing the bullet. Lots of info on RFC.

I bought some aguila standard velocity, 6.49/50...I was happy with it

sk on the left, aguila on the right...60 yards with a 9x scope, not amazing, but consistent, I pulled a few shots and wasn't waiting for the wind

Heres some pricing on Aguila today from my LGS no limits I could have bought 15,000 rounds today.I'm very happy with the Aguila. Here are a few comparisons out of my Savage Mark ii last sunday am it was breezy I was sighting it in and doing a little testing .All shooting was at 51 yds on my range finder.
Mostly 10 shot groups except the RWS target I only shot 5 rounds

I put 50 rounds of standard velocity through my Schultz & Larsen this morning. 50 rounds through the 10/22 (Tac-sol barrel), too

Did OK out of the S&L, as well as most ammo I've tried, better than some, worse than others.
Out of the 10/22 it gave groups that were just one ragged hole (10-shot groups).

Groups were shot at 25 meters in the drizzle.

I have 1400 rounds left. Paid $52.99 a brick here

Bought a box and ran some through the CZ455's ( American and Varmint) at 50 yards and 100 yards.
It was okay as long as I had the range to myself but once others arrived it became hazy as to which rifle shot which ammo at whatever target.
One group at 50 was close to .5" (c-c) at 50 yards and another was not much over an inch at 100 yards.
Minute of gopher accuracy but I doubt is warrants buying quantity with all the CCI MM Solids that I have.
The thing with the MiniMags is I have two lots and the two CZ's have a preference to each.
Will have to keep better records.
