the guy who invents a way for Mini-14's to take ar-15 mags will get rich quick. Use a synthetic oil on Mini 14's, M-305's, ... instead of grease, they will still run with oil when filthy.

Not gonna happen, would require a whole new trigger group, stock and reciever... With the number of years its been out if no one has done it yet its not gonna happen.

I have one and it functions like crap in both rifles. If anyone wants one PM me and if I can find it it's yours for whatever it costs to ship it to you.

The video I posted shows they won't run with oil or grease when filthy. The magazines of the mini-14 has a hole cut into the front of them which connect to the spring guide rod. This is why the 10rd .308 magazines fail to work properly in the M14 rifles because, even though they do insert, they don't have the hole cut into them for the spring guide rod. Redesigning the mini-14 to take AR magazines would be a challenging task. The whole operation of the gun would have to be completely redesigned. Much like how the 9mm M1 Carbine that takes Beretta 92 magazines isn't even an M1 action anymore. It just looks like one.
