mag pouch ideas

Looking for ideas for carrying .22lr magazines. I have 6 mags for my 597, and its kind of a pain keeping them loose in my pocket. Too many golphers have escaped while i fumble for a fresh one.
Any product ideas?

AR pouches for AR style 22 mags.
Ive seen mp5 pouches fit 10/22 mags so they might work but havent tried myself.

They make mag pouches for 10/22 mags. Its mainly people using revolver speedloader pouches. the 597 might bit better. Worth a shot.

Maybe contact Strike Hard Gear in MN. He makes some 10/22 pouches, but the fellow can make custom pouch sizes for very reasonable pricing. His quality of work is A+. Stitching is of mil spec quality.

I use cell phone pouches I got at canex. They are Molle in cadpat and each holds two mags. I have 6 on a nylon bandolier. Check my started posts for a pic.

Fishing vest if its small mags your carrying. Plus you can carry bug spray, cell, keys and so on.

Local suitcase store will have a variety of zipper type cell cases and leather pouches. I use a version that easily holds over 300 rounds, just keep loading as I shoot. Even with 6 mags you still have to spend time loading. I just use one and have a spare in case I have a failure, not worrying about losing a mag in the heat of battle with the little rodents.

That's a good idea. Dollarama may have something in cell phone pouches that could fit the bill.

As Steiner recomended, I went with Strike Hard Gear to build a custom mag pouch, and I am happy I did. The quality is fantastic.
Here is the final system...


I ordered a chalk bag to serve as an empty magazine dump pouch, and hold loose rounds to reload said empty mags. Found it for $10 with free shipping from China



Too bad its a little late in the golpher season to test it out!
