My first IWI TAVOR, here is my let's see yours

Fresh out of the box, had time to put 50rds through it at the shop range, to get an initial setup on the MePro - bullpup design certainly feels different, but a very nice shooting rifle for sure on first impressions.

Ouch. That is alot of money for a little chunk of rubber. Does it also do naughty things for you in the middle of the night only a hooker would do? If so, that it is the only way I could justify that kinda coin.

you cant put a price on lifes little comforts...

How is the MOR?

It's maybe a bit of overkill for what I need, but got a great deal on it NIB that was left sitting by another customer and hey you only go this way once LOL. Only got to put 50rds though the gun at the shop range, but it's a very nice piece of kit; laser and reticle adjust together which made things nice and easy and after a few rounds had it set up. Need to get to a longer range facility though to really play with the whole package some. Initial impressions are an all round nice rifle.

How did I justify it? I wanted less weight, and a cheaper overall investment.

Saved 24 grams by swapping out the buttpad, and the MA buttpad allowed me to do away with the GHW short Razorback that required a rail mounted rear BUIS (Troy rear) which together weighed 211 grams, and replace it with my Mod-Rail which has the built in rear BUIS that weighs only 104 grams, there for saving me a total of 131 grams of weight and reducing my build cost by $200 even after the cost of the buttpad.

I REALLY like this rifle! Can you tell me what the parts are, and where you got them? Looks like a gen 2 or 2.5 rifle with a gen 1.5 front sight, and the front half of the factory rail removed? Or is it an aftermarket top rail? And of course a different butt?

Build List:
-Gen 2 full length flat top Tavor
-Geissele Super Sabra Hammer Pack
-Geissele Super Sabra Lightning Bow
-Lantac Dragon Brake
-Manticore Arms Luma Ambi-Safeties
-Manticore Curved Buttpad
-Gear Head Works Tavor Front Sight post
-Elcan Specter DR 1-4x 5.56

In my ad for the Tavor I am trying to sell I have a blurb about the Mod-Rail and its advantages over a Flat top or the likes of a GHW Razorback.

I can do one for whoever wants one, but the have to supply thier own rail and I can not refinnish them at this time yet. (Currently setting up to do my own Cerakoting, so that will change)

If your interested PM me! ;)

Thanks! it's hydro dipped.
I've mostly been shooting my AR as far as rifles are concerned this year but the Tavor just handles and shoots so beautifully off hand. I'm gonna take it out more from now on and hopefully I can get faster on the reloads with it eventually.
