Anyone own a Fabarm shotgun?

I had an SDASS. The quality was fantastic, I thought it was going to stay on my love it list but....

I had problems with mine releasing an extra round from the magazine tube when I pushed it really hard for 3-gun. It got this really weird jam that could only be released with a knife or screwdriver and your not allowed to do that in most competitions! It was fine most of the time if going slow and yes, I was pumping it properly with that wonderful smooth spring assisted action. It was more reliable with the spring assist removed but I would most definitely not trust my life or competition to it. After much effort spent and a couple trips to gunsmiths later it was traded off to a dealer because I was to embarrassed to sell it to anyone. I did get a few fast stages with the spring assisted pump but it seemed to throw a wrench in the gears just often enough to p!ss me off.

I went back to a poorly made but more reliable new Remington 870.

Mine's awesome and loves the speed pumping, just like my GF does. Faster the better.

Angelina Jolie likes hers:

Looks great Bill!↑↑↑

That is the exact model I would choose. Traditional field stock, no pistol grip and no fancy smancy sights.

I have one small negative... my Fabarm hard case isn't the best. The little sliding pegs/plastic blocks that close it keep coming off and are hard to reinstall. Lost one already. It also could be more compact to properly fit my 14" Pro Forces, looks like they're a one size fits all deal and made for the 20" model. I'll probably just get a better hard case for it, one day.

The shotgun is awesome though.

Do you have a bead or the fiber optic peeps?

What really pisses me off about that stupid case is that they give you the same one for the long barrel all the way down to the pistola. The case is way too big for the 14" and pistola versions.

Even for the Pistola... wow. If they sold a Fabarm case that was specifically made for mine, don't think I'd buy it if they had those flimsy pegs on it.

I've never had an issue with the pegs, but packing an 11" bbl shotgun in a case made for a 20" bbl shotgun is just ridiculous.

It's got a bead front sight but has the reciever threaded and ready to mount the dovetail rail. I'll be throwing my trs-25 on for now and will add fibre optic sights if need be. Going to look for some chokes and the picatinny rail asap.

Was out over the weekend and put a 25 box of 7.5 shot, some 00buck and slugs through it. Shot some clays, some stuffed animals lol. Man I love this 12g, it's so light and the action is so smooth.

Is The Shooting Edge the best place to look for chokes? My google searching keeps pointing me to them, the bead sight is totally fine so I'll just roll with that for now. Had no issues hitting targets with rifled slugs out near 100yrd.

Anyone slap a Reflex sight on their railed Fabarm? The LPA fiber optic sights on mine are fantastic, but I am just wondering if anyone with just a bead has tried it.

I just mounted my trs-25 on mine, upper picatinny rail and chokes arrived yesterday. Will report back once I sight it in with some slugs, curious to see if it holds up to the recoil over time.

TRS-25 is probably the best budget (inexpensive) Red Dot on the market... willing to bet it will hold up well to the recoil.
