Colt Canada - Diemaco Stripped Lowers?

Well I paid for my 3 SA15.7's and parted out 2 of them to get parts, How is that my fault that C.C didnt release the parts we needed...

You should of bought all of them if you feel they should've been kept whole.

Look at it this way, My IOP green gun is worth more :) The more they part out the more the value goes up...

The only other option was to get some colts from IRG but that's not worth the hassle to save a couple hundreds.

And Now I have the proper unmarked lower to go with my IUR build. I already got 3 pm's asking to buy my SA15.7 marked lower, So people want the parts. SA marked or Not...

I just think it looks cleaner without it for the IUR, and heck I might even get it marked C8IUR just for chits and giggles...

It took me over a year, a price drop and a 12% off sale from SFRC to convince my wife to let me get one. Buying them all isn't really an option. I get why people who own the IUR do it I just wouldn't be able to do it myself. Your collection looks amazing. It HAD occurred to me though that the fewer whole Diemacos there are, the more the value of mine goes up. So I can't complain too much.

It sounds like there are some knowledgeable Colt/Diemaco lovers on here.

Does anyone have a Colt Canada/Diemaco buffer tube (receiver extension) for sale or know someone who may want to get rid of one since some people are parting these precious beauties out.

You do realize other dealers will be getting them. O'Dell released the dealers on their Facebook page. 100 lowers were released. 10 per dealer.

Pretty much the same dealers that always get cc stuff.

If you call one, you might be able to reserve one before they actually land at their store and before they post them up.

I think the opposite was just said over the last 5 posts.

Given that this is sfrc forum it is likely the forum rules will be followed and you won't find people saying who does.

But if you look at who doesn't, compare that to who O'Dell says will, and contact the stores that are left over, you may be able to source one out.

Who says there will be? It is entirely possible that these are over runs of the sa series of guns. They aren't making any more of these. They may have had an extra 100 sitting around the shop that O'dells was able to pry away from CC.

The IUR were surplus. The green furniture was surplus. The triads were surplus. They aren't making any more furniture, or triads. And the IUR were an oops. The sa series was a one time run of 500 each.

If you follow that pattern, these lowers may be a one time thing. They don't do civilian purchase runs. They sell off overstocked items. We get what they make too much of as they build to suit on order, not stock up in advance.

Personally, I think waiting would be a recipe for "I wish I woulda when I coulda"...
 
I'm not a big fan of CC way of dealing with us, I mean sure it works but you keep your customers in the dark all the time. I think they could show a bit of respect by keeping us informed at least a little bit; I for one would appreciate it. Now I sort of feel like the dog waiting for scraps that might never happen...

Well surplus items could be referred to as scraps of the rest of the order. That is what they are selling us. And they are being sold as they come available. Not really easy to know in advance what you are selling as surplus until it becomes surplus. And cc isn't selling to us. They are selling to Odell's who then immediately releases it. Not much advance notice to be had there.
