Hey All, I have been offered a chance to buy a mortar, I know nothing about them. This piece of kit looks naval to me.

Looks like a model of a land (army) type mortar. It's mounted on a baulk for portability (rings for putting carrying poles through). Naval mortars were usually fixed to the deck and not portable. I don't know if it's a model of an actual mortar or just something someone put together for fun. It looks like you can actually shoot it though.
