What do you guys think would be the best way to go about installing a flush "mauser style" floorplate on the sks?

Inletting for a floorplate taken from a parts gun? Or cutting down the existing magazine so that it fits flush with the stock?

If this is impossible does anyone know of a flush magazine conversion?

Google is your friend. Simply inputting "flush SKS floorplate" has come up with several results. Adding "canada" shows Marstar carrying a 5 round detachable mag in 2010 that sat fairly flush. I'd start by contacting them and see if they still carry anything along those lines.

The Chinese made a flush 5x round magazine that came on some of the Type56 and Norinco stamped rifles.

Different rumours on whether they were for "Chinese Police" or "US Civilian Market".

I picked up one of these magazines at a Gun Show and I have seen them around a few times. Maybe a WTB - in the Euipement Exchange section?

Cutting down and exsisting magazine would work, but without modifying the spring - you may have feed issues.

No need to be a smartass, if you could read you would see I'm not really looking for flush detachable mags anyways

Thanks to everyone else for their responses

Well, I'd rather be a smart*** than a dumb***. I can read just fine, and you're stating you are looking for a "flush magazine conversion", which is exactly what I referred you to. Your welcome.

Try reading your own OP I quoted below for you to read again, nowhere does it mention if you were looking for a detachable or fixed magazine. The last line especially indicates you are just looking for flush, with no preference of fixed or detachable.

Sorry what exactly is a mauser style floorplate to the second guy beaking me on me? It`s not my fault your gun knowledge starts and ends with 200 dollar milsurps.

I asked a pretty simple question here.

You seem fairly arrogant for someone asking for help.. try not to take things so personally. People refer others to Google all the time. I'm sure if you searched around, you could find detachable mags for a mauser. Don't assume you know more than others when you aren't able to find what you're looking for. Best of luck with your endeavors.

its irrelevant to a SKS is what it is.

They also sell flush fitting detachable magazines for mausers...

You are a real saint buddy, how would I have ever thought to look on google

Just because they sell drop box mags for mausers doesn`t take away from the obvious point of this thread: fitting a floorplate to an sks.

I can`t find an sks specific floor-plate anywhere, I asked my question to see if anyone else had done it and had fabrication tips, not so you could tell me to go on google. If you want to insult me you are going to be trying for some time because I don`t take much stock in the opinions of wanna be tough guys on the web.

You're the one being offended over nothing. Not only did I google it for you, I referenced the information I found. I'm not trying to be a tough guy, you're just running a bit hot. I simply stated I'd rather be smart than dumb in response to you calling me a smart***. Take a chill pill, go for a walk, cool down. If you get this riled up by people trying to help, then maybe you should turn up the restrictions on your browser's parental control and stick to water guns.
