What's a good website that go in depth on wind and the effects on bullets. Looking for something with maybe some tricks to reading wind and making adjustment for .223 and .243 long rang bullets.

Cheers!!

Pick up some of Bryan Litz's books, The Wind Book for Rifle Shooters by Linda Miller and Keith A. Cunningham.

These would be great places to start from a theory standpoint maybe some tips. Playing with a ballistics program can also show you how various bullets are affected by wind.

But in the end, there is no substitute for in field experience. I take my Kestrels on walks with the dog and try and guess conditions then measure them. Anything is better than nothing!

Doping for wind when you know what it is is easy. Determining what it is is the hard part.

Where do you want to read wind? On a range that has flags or out in nature? Resources on how to read it are generally focused on one or the other. Bryan's books are great for the ballistics part once you know what the wind is.
