I had one for the steel lips, not sure how the compare for speed & no jams. What loads fast and can be depended on? I have to get something - just not sure what. Thanks to those that know.

Mcfadden lightning loader hands down.
Uses different heads so can load different mags. Comes with two.
I got a 15-22 loader and a 10/22 loader but it came with a straight and angled head.
I can load a 25 round mag in 7 sec.
Just youtube it.
Super simple

Wow i was going to say butler creek as ive had mine for 10 years and going strong. Works great on the bananna mags but i find the factory mags so-so. Ive never seen the lightning loader.

Bought a butler creek loader and it damaged more rounds that it loaded, could not figure out how to make it work properly. Put it back in the box and it's still sitting there...

By the time you screw around with the loaders you could have loaded the magazine by hand. Large, cumbersome and time consuming.

Have you tried a lightnin loader?
My guess is no.

The video I watched was agonizing. The time it takes to drop loose rounds in, shake it, attach the mag, click it repeatedly, is far more time than it takes to load one by hand. It's also a bulky item that is not something I would carry in the field. Spare magazines make the reload much faster.

I challenge you to load 6 25 round mags by hand in the same time as using a loader.
Its even faster when you us 50 round boxes and not bulk bricks.
However unless you try it, you wouldnt know.
I have both loaders and the BC loader will be listed on EE when I get around to it.

If you like me and shoot a brick or two in a sitting you learn to love speed loaders.

I run 5 magazines at a time when I shoot(gophers). When there's a lull I reload the depleted magazines.

I shoot 500-2000 rounds per trip when I shoot gophers(and targets, not all rounds go to fur ;)) and every round is loaded by hand. Back in the day I used to run 500-1000 rounds a day with a single shot bolt action.

I stated at the start of this thread I wanted one and asked for help from those that have used them. You are not helping.

If you're open to buying new mags, HC3R aren't bad.
They take a bit of finagling the first few times but once you've figured it out they work pretty well.
