I am searching all over and only find the ones outside at least 1 hour drive. :(
online shipping cost is kind of crazy, otherwise, it's a good lazy way for me as well. Thanks.

Lebaron. Get your name on the wait-list and they will call you when it comes in.

Problem with Lebaron is I've been waiting for a long long time now. I bought my last batch of power from SFRC - theammosource.com. Price was fair and shipping was more than reasonable. Put my name on the waiting list there (online), powder came in a month or three later I ordered and that was it ... shipping on 3 pounds of 296 was under $16.00 ...

I had my name down for 2lbs titegroup among others. The titegroup took about 2-3months to get to me. When I went and picked it up I put my name down on the list again thinking it would take the same amount of time. I got a call 1.5weeks later saying they got more. I also got a call last week saying some other powders came in. It seems pistol stuff is starting to flow a bit more?

wow. that's good. how's the price looks like per lb?

I had my name in at 3 places and got called by them all within a week of each other, so now I have 10lbs of titegroup

More like Le Baron's might call you. If they feel like it and it doesn't interfere with whatever it is they do.
Le Baron's has been known to advertise stuff they don't have and can't get too. They had the Ruger USGI(Mini-14 in .308) in their catalogue for 2 years after Ruger announced they were not going to make 'em.

I just visited LeBaron. The gentleman in the gun shop told me they called Hodgdon yesterday and they are out of the Titegroup. No ETA, however they have a new powder called PEC (Powder Eliminating Copper), supposed to be decent.

There is no good place to purchase powder in Ontario, let alone Canada. The powder makers in the U.S. have forsaken our market and our users for over two years now. Similarly, our so-called powder importers /sellers/retailers act as individuals waiting on a bit of gruel thrown their way to sell to us.
Instead of demanding respect and previously earned market share sales from the big powder makers, they slink away waiting to accept the meager pittance that trickles in. Shameful.

I have got powder from lebarons on several occasions, they always call me when the powder arrives and let me buy more than I reserved if someone else backs out

The Lebarons in Ottawa seem to be the poor cousins of the stores chain, more than once there was stock in Toronto and Mtl and none in Ottawa..

this is great price. I called today and found out what roadcarver said, that titegroup won't be available for a while, no ETA, but they got 231 in which were all spoken for. So, I guess I will be on wait list. In the meantime, I picked up a 8LBs HS-6 and 3 x 1LB longshot from Hamilton even though it's more expensive(especially considering I need to load more grain than titegroup/universal). Just that I can't wait to use my new 550B. :)

Nice speech. So where can he get some powder?

Accuracy Plus in Peterborough has a good supply right now. Call and make sure they have what you want before making the drive.

thanks guys! now I have more contingency plans. :)

btw. since I live in an apartment(attached dwelling), legally I only allow to store up to 5 kg(around 11lbs) powder if any of the container is larger than 1 kg, right? in my case, since I picked up the hs-6 in 8lb package, I am there already. if 1lb battles, i can get up to 20kg(44lbs), right? thanks
