This is the other K98k I picked up at this years SOS in Louisville. I'm mostly posting this for Andrew's benefit since he had his grubby hands all over it at the show and has since sent me a hundred texts asking "did you get Bruce to ship it yet?", "is it at the exporters?", "how much longer now?", and so on. The guy obviously has a serious addiction to walnut Kriegsmodells.
Any way, its all matching and untouched. Mauser Oberndorf S/42 e/63 marked armorers spare bolt (most likely one of the 10k sent to MO when the Posen depot was evacuated) and an unusual Ingolstadt depot e/jt.3 marked extractor. It has a tremendous amount of solder splash for a MO made K98k. The area around the front sight is really bad with some on the crown even. Maybe they had a solder tech transfer over from Steyr or something.
