How long before sks disappear from market?

The Beard will ban handguns and semis within 2 years of getting elected.
He'll wait for a year after he reinstates the LGR and then any registered handguns and semis will be confiscated without compensation to the owners and smelted.
 
Something to keep in mind as well is that the demand for SKSs is (at least in part) directly proportional to the availability of a supply of cheap surplus 7.62x39 ammo. If the ammo supply dries up then SKS sales will definitely slow down and prices will drop.

This will be a very definate driving force behind SKS sales in the future! The average guy isn't going to be paying almost a buck a shot for commercial ammo to go and shoot one of these if surplus ammo dries up at some point. Although, there are many, many more millions of AK47 type rifles out there that use this ammo as well so the chance of the surplus running out is really about zero unless the Beard/Poney cut off importation with some stupid law banning the import/sale of it.

Check out NDP Reply thread by Strato50. He has a reply in writing that the NDP won't bring back the LGR. I have sent an ANTI GUN letter to Angry Tom and awaiting his reply to see what reply he may have for an anti gunner "potential voter".
I sent the letter almost 2 weeks ago. Awaiting his reply. Will post when I get it.

True enough. It's not like it is an obsolete caliber with a finite and limited supply. There is literally tons of 7.62x39 being manufactured every week in the world.

He did say "REGISTERED" which means you can kiss ALL of your restricted and prohib's bye bye. Remember that the anti-gun crowd wants total civilian disarmament. They've already got the wedge in and they're constantly hitting it. Sometimes it's a tap but sometimes it's a good solid whack.
 
sorry Ko1,,,never going to happen,,,trying to disarm a population is this day and age is pointless,,,,firearms owners will NEVER let themselves be disarmed,,,dont kid yourself,,people aren't stupid,,and they have history on their side,,,so nobody is about to let ANY government disarm them,,,and if they try to bring back a registry,,it will fail just like the last one..last time they never got past 10% of know firearms in the country registered,,,,that's A LOT of guns hidden away,,,as for as coming for our restricteds,,,good luck with that,,people will report them destroyed WAY before they come for them,,,LOL...You also have to remember a good 90% of Canada is rural country,,,and you pretty much do whatever you want there,,so when good buddy officer Smith shows up to see you playin with your toys,,,he usually just wants a chance to play too,,LOL..
As far as SKS supply goes,,i figure about another 100 years or so,,
 
I don't see them going any more then 350-400$ for a shooter grade and 500-600$ for colector grade sks. Everyone and their dog has 2 or 3 if not more stashed away and really who needs more then one. They will be available used for reasonable prices for many years to come like in the US.

Surplus .303 Brit dried up long ago. Didn't seem to have that effect on LE's.

i got 4 alone this year at an average of 100$ each thanks to other sponsers package deals. I thought to my self maybe I should keep them and resell them in the future and then relized, who would really spend more then 300$ on an sks in canada where they love to ban stuff. I would bet on the SVT 40 over the SKS increasing in value. I would jump on a SVT under 300 but would not take a SKS unless it was under 200 taxed.

If you wana make money why not customize the SKS and sell the wood stocks, bayos, cleaning kits to US customers.
