22 LR ammo in stock! Lots of selection to choose from

I have to sympathize with all of our customers trying to order ammunition. Before Purolator required the Dangerous Goods Surcharge, we were changing almost all the ammunition orders to Purolator, because we could to pretty much ship anywhere in Canada for under 50 bucks, and now we have a hard time getting orders under $70

Hello Web Customers,

Our new website has a new shipping module, which will get shipping rates from the various couriers we use (UPS, Loomis, and Purolator. Sorry, no CanPar)

However, now that Transport Canada has made ammunition a Dangerous Good, couriers are insisting on having a 'Dangerous Goods Surcharge' on every shipment of ammunition, which in the case of Purolator is an additional $44.00.

Now our new shipping module, hasn't been programmed to factor in this dangerous goods charge. Giving customers an otherwise ridiculously low shipping rate, which we at Wolverine would have to modify to account for the Dangerous Goods charge.

Rather than "Burst their Bubble", we have disabled the shipping module, so we can quote all customers ordering ammunition the correct rate.

If you have any questions or concerns with the shipping on your order, you can email sales@wolverinesupplies.com or call us at 204-748-2454

Regards,

Tony

Transport Canada and Canada Post, should read Hatcher's Notebook. Ammo is not as "dangerous" as they think it is.

Yup $70 to ship 2 k rounds to BC is about double the going rate from other online retailers.Have you guys tried using Canpar as everyone else that ships ammo uses them.
I also cancelled my order.

Ouch, I'd love to buy some ammo but a little to pricey for me. Not trying to criticize you guys as it's not your fault, but I bought 50lbs of shotgun ammo from another retailer in Alberta and Canpar shipped it to me for $30. Is there anyway you guys may consider using another carrier down the road?

Mini mags did go up in price about $2 since this morning.
I cancelled my order too once I found out about the shipping.
It's definitely not worth it for smaller orders.

Guy fixed me up.
Shipping is a bit exspensive but it worked out to 10 bucks per box of 100 shipped.
Thanks

Is that including the $44 hazardous goods surcharge? It was going to be something like $65 to ship 500 mini mags to Winnipeg. I could probably drive a small car there and back for less.

Its sad they want to add the surcharge, I took the TDG course this yr, the form would take them 3 seconds to fill out, what about Maritime Ontario or Manitoulin,, they both shipped stuff to us , not ammo but Dangerous goods items..Imagine ordering 2lb containers of propane and getting dinged that charge..

The $44 dangerous goods charge is collected from us by the carrier. This charge is per shipment not per box. If a 2 lb container of propane is considered dangerous goods then the charge was applicable. Not all carriers are insisting on this dangerous goods paper work, at this time. Our local agent was fined $50,000.00 for non compliance, naturally they are following the requirements to the letter. It is only a matter of time until this is enforced all across Canada, our hands are tied on this.

My only suggestion is for individuals to pool their orders so the charge is spread over a larger quantity.

My order was for 2 cases of mini-mags. *$890 +gst shipped to Alberta. Price went up $ 100. Just received an email reply I sent on the 8th. price is now $9.30 (I think) +95 shipping. Phoned and was told the first price was there cost and should not have been listed. I did not order anything.
