what is the best speed charger for 10-22??My fingers & thumbs have had it!

I really don't. I have no issue loading by hand and never have an empty gun. I also have nowhere to carry the loader.

A satchel, Fanny pack, small pack... If you can carry 5 mags, and 2000rds of ammo, you can find a place to carry a 1/4 lb 5" long piece of plastic. Sounds like an excuse.

Took me 25 seconds to load 25 rd BC mag with the BC loader and took me 46 seconds to load 25rd by hand.

You don't like it then well good for you. Ain't a topic to see whos got the toughest thumbs.

If you're open to buying new mags, HC3R aren't bad.
They take a bit of finagling the first few times but once you've figured it out they work pretty well.

This is true, I have one and love it. Use it every time I hit the field. Has a drop and shake speed loader and uses a stripper clip system. Works pretty well. It does take some practice though.

So every time I need to reload I would need to dismount the pack/satchel and fish out the loader, use it then put it back and re sling the bag. Far too much wasted time over hand loading loose rounds from my belt pouch. Did you time yourself from when you grabbed the loader to when you removed the loaded magazine and put the loader down/away, or did you time just the act of squeezing the handle?

This thread is about loaders and options on them. Youve clearly made your point you dont like them.
Time to move on troll!
Be less than helpful in another thread.

Whatever move away, Nobody forcing you to post. Your trying to explain storage issues and guess too much to carry to a Former infantry person.

Sure the BC loader once in a awhile jams but its much easier then sore thumbs. Mcfaden, I like their pistol loader def much quicker then the ones that slide down the side.

I'm serious, you need to see a doctor. You seem very agitated over this thread and for no reason.

Not sure what your previous experience has to do with the discussion on loaders? Carrying one in a pack that I would have to take off to get the loader out, load rounds into, attach the mag then squeeze full of ammo, is not faster than hand loading from a belt pouch. However, the OP did ask for which loader is "the best" and the answer is there isn't one as they all have issues. I would say the McFadden is the slickest looking operation of the lot.

Well your complaining about extra weight and space of a speed loader.

Oh #### really need to worry about those 2 way ranges between hunter and gophers !!! better watch out theyre coming right for ya. So you be the expert on gopher defense because clearly you can load a mag faster in a gopher fire fight. He could be on the range where we got the extra time to mess around with speed loaders.

Stripper clips are pretty cheap too so you could just load a bunch without having to fumble with the shaker box in the field.
First time I used them I couldn't get any of them to actually feed properly but once you figure out the "trick" they seem to work pretty well.

Hm. When I need to add a piece of kit to my gear I find a spot for it. Be it part of a chest rig, jockeying stuff around one of my packs, adding a molle pouch to a pack/chest rig or simply adding something to my belt. The BC mag loader is one of my favourite purchases of all time. I grew up loading 10/22 mags by hand. I've loaded countless mags. I've had the skin on my thumbs split and bleed from burning through bricks of .22 sometimes at well below zero. I called it quits when I got tired of loading mags. With the speed loader however life is good. Yes, its faster than loading by hand. Yes, its easier. No, its not a ginormous, heavy, finnicky, loud beast of machinery that needs its glow plugs run miltiple times before finally sputtering to life on half its cylinders blowing blue smoke with an ear splitting exhaust tone. Its a piece of plastic that fits in a coat pocket.

The BC loader works as long as you have the angle right. I will however be ordering a Mcfadden and the adapters. They look awesome.

Anyone in Calgary is welcome to try mine.
Once you try the lightning loader, there is no going back.
Ive posted on the 15-22 site and few knew about it. However the ones who tried it, bought one right away.
Unlike the BC that only loads 10/22, the lightning loader does many different mags. So for those who shoot different guns. This loader is for you!

It appears more than one person in this thread needs to see a doctor and calm down.

I see where you're coming from for those who shoot from the bench at the range. Personally I find static range shooting about as interesting as watching paint dry but to each their own. If you're at the range you don't need to worry about carrying gear and shooting paper is not a time sensitive event. The story is much different when you're trying to slay as many of the little fur balls as possible. I find 5 mags(or even 3) keeps me topped up and always ready for a shot. hand loading is fast and simple, should a gopher pop up I need to simply dump the mag into a pocket with the loose rounds in hand(if I haven't finished loading them) and mount my rifle for the shot. When there's a break I let my rifle hang and continue topping off any depleted mags.

again-- this is not about you!!! My fingers hurt after 3 1/2 days of gopher shooting. I too use 5 mags but heavy # of reloads hurts. Glad it works for you but that is not what I asked about.

AJ dont feed the troll. This tread is about mag reloaders. He cant seem to understand the simple fact. You asked a question that he isnt happy about. He cant seem to move on after he stated the fact he doesnt like them. Ok job done, moooove on troll. Be less helpful somewhere else.
As for the loaders.
I bought the BC and didnt seem impressed.
So I took a chance on the lightning loader.
Glad I did. However a loader for 3+ mags is a must.
I had a AM180 275 drum and a stand/tray to load. Took about 5 mins but darn it was fun to unload. Atleast at 4 cents a round it was.

BC is all about the angle. They dont work well with factory 10s but work well with the 25s.
