What the hell did I just buy?

Man, you got robbed big time. Probably why you're questioning yourself that much... I'll give ya a hundred and save you from any future worries... Can come pick it up tonight.

Yeah and that's why I keep it. It's been my first shotgun and I will always keep it. It's so old and it shot so many rounds, never jammed, went hunting with pouring rain, dragged it into mud, rarely cleaned it, like once a year and never jammed a single time.
It's only 2'' 3/4 but I have a 10 gauge 3'' 1/2 if I need something bigger.

I think you got a real good deal. Looks like a very early 870 P (police), we have a few of the same kicking around for putting down injured wildlife. A good little truck gun... Cheers!

it does look like a 70s police barrel ,,nice find and the 2.75 inch slugs will kill every deer in Canada and even a moose at 50 to 75 yards ,I seen it done ,clean pass thru the ribs on a full grown cow moose .destroyed both lungs only made it 20 yards ,great for bear hunting as well ..I shot the short slugs in all my three inch guns as I find thy work just fine all I get from the three inch is more recoil ,,,Dutch

Pretty sure it was just the barrel for $140.00 boys , not the entire package as shown.

Still a good deal, I bought a 3" version for $125 plus shipping on the EE a few years back and I was happy.

yes just the barrel as I read it ,,lol still a very nice barrel well worth the 150$ ,nice score will make you a great truck gun and deer hunter ,,Dutch

Yes, well done! It's the same 20" IC 2 3/4" polished blued barrel that came on the "Brushmaster" model that I bought new in the late 70's, fitted to a standard Wingmaster receiver with the gloss, press checkered stock and forend. A very handy barrel, as others have said, and perfect for rifled slugs. You're never going to want to sell it, trust me...

At $140 you stole it. It's just a Rem 870 slug gun.
Paid $279 for one just like it 35 years ago, when Eaton's got out of firearms, with a plain, 30", FC barrel. It is a Wingmaster made before Remington decided to make that their higher end brand name. No police involved.
New 870 barrels in the plastic blister packs are about $300. $200 without the packaging. And that's not recently.

Did he ask to see your PAL? Was it at night? looks good.

Any chance that McDonald's was just robbed by a "guy in a mask with a shotgun" and he sold you the "evidence"? :)
