Shorten PAL Approval Times

Im in Nova Scotia and applied for only the non restricted
Sent: Mid May
Credit card Processed : June 11
Showed up Online: Never (I checked every couple of days)
References Called : Never
Licence Arrived: July 13th

Wrote PAL end of Apr
Received in Mirimachi May 4
Credit Card charged May 23
called every two weeks advised on June 29 that they scanned picture while on phone and sent for approval
called CFO in BC today (July 13) asked if there was anything that could expedite process..
They asked about a question i replied yes to on application (divorce) ... answered ....
She then was put on Hold ... returned APPROVED
website updated as License Issued..

Called CFP July 1st, instructed to have 1 ref call, he did 30 minutes later
I called after he did to see if they wanted to conduct my interview, told not needed.
Called July 10th was informed that it was going to BC CFO for final. Figured on having to wait another month.
Checked online today July 13 twice during the day.... No change.
Decided to check once more before bed just for a laugh 11:00 pm... WTF!

None of my reference have been called and I've called few times during my wait time. Hopefully I receive it soon because it's time for me to create me a new "need" haha.

CRFSC challanged: June 15
Application sent: June 19
Application Received: June 25 (according to the online status check)
Stamped CRFSC & CFSC Received: First week and a half of July (was away)
Application Online: July 14
Faxed Stamped CRFSC & CFSC: July 15
Wonder when I should call to ensure they received the stamped CRFSC & CFSC?
Call 1-800-731-4000 and they will be able to tell you whether it is received. Since the fax machine is located in different building, therefore they won't be able to tell you right away. But call them and let them know you have sent the fax, and ask them to make a note on your file, so someone will retrieve it.
Thanks for the info. I wasn't persistent enough and was told they wouldn't be able to tell me if it had been received in good condition for a couple of weeks. She made sure I put my application number on it and said it will be matched to my file. She was very pleasant!

Send app: no clue
App received: June 2
Credit card charged: June 23

Called July 14 - Stated they wanted to interview one of my references
- Reference called in 15 min later
- Called back to make sure all was good - Said they just had to scan the pic and send to BC CFO
Called July 17 - Approved
- They gave me the PAL number (7 digits, right?), but not the expiry.
Total time from date of receipt: 45 Days
Went out a few hours later and put a full cost 'deposit' on my first rifle. Ready to pick up when the card arrives.
