I have tested David's Tier One trigger against Rimfire Technologies, Kidd Single and double stage, VQ TG-2000 and Timney... and IMO it has the best peformance to cost ratio... better than a stock VQ or Timney trigger...

Well, I can't give you any first-hand comparisons yet, but I've read from lots of people that it is as good as nearly anything available from the aftermarket. He uses your existing trigger group, then replaces many of the Ruger parts with new parts from Rimfire Technologies.

if you were to import a kidd 2-stage now its probably about $400. the single stage is about $300. these are ballpark figures. depending on how its imported, the exchange rate at the time, and how many are ordered to greatly impact the price.
personally i have used the kidd 2-stage and single stage as well as various trigger jobs. i have also demod the BX trigger in the package at a retail store. as i said in another thread, the BX trigger is good for impatient people who arent comfortable installing or performing a trigger job themselves. sending away your trigger pack or installing aftermarket parts will be cheaper and give you the same if not better result. doing this is by far the best bang for your buck. that being said, they are nothing compared to the fully custom trigger packs (and most people would agree that kidd sets the standard here). for my personal preference i chose the single stage over the 2-stage. IMO its more versatile. if i got the 2-stage i would have it set to its minimum which is borderline useless for anything but benchrest. 1.5lb trigger pull is still great for BR but is much more comfortable for plinking. the kidd single stage is the best single stage trigger of any gun i have ever used. i am talking about rimfire, centerfire, pistol, rifle, ANYTHING. there is zero creep, just over 1mm of overtravel, a consistent break and reset. there is nothing i can fault it for. i wouldnt even complain about the price. its all CnC milled and was designed from scratch. it doesn't share a single part in common with the standard ruger pack (besides the cross pins).

Not even the cross pins... Kidd manufavturers their own... the Two stage trigger pack can be adjuated for weight of pull down into the "ounces." Dlask Arms now sells Kidd triggers and barrels and assorted parts as does Joe Brooks.
yea they do make their own cross pins but you can still use the ruger ones if you want. nothing else on the trigger is interchangeable. and yes, dlask does carry a decent number of kidd parts. when i got my build from there they had my trigger in stock. FYI, dlasks website does not have their actual selection of kidd stuff. give them a call and ask what they have. as for the 2-stage i believe the minimum you can set it to is 3oz/3oz which is insane. to have such a low pull weight without having any risk of accidental discharge due to shock on the rifle is incredible.

The only RT part he uses is the trigger and maybe torsion return spring but he may make those himself, I do, all the rest is stock parts that were modified.

If they actually have it in stock? I paid them for one and two months later it still hadn't arrived! When I called the story was the order hadn't arrived on schedule. I got my $ back from them, ordered from I-Runguns and two weeks later had mine. Then a week after that there they are in a Cabelas Canada flyer for $25 less. Figures, lol. Anyways works great and I agree with what a few others have said about just put this trigger in right at the factory but a gunsmith friend of mine tells me it goes to liability issues. Less chance of an accident with the heavier trigger so it prevents companies from being sued especially since they are class action happy in the U.S but if you change the trigger yourself from how they sold the gun they are exonnerated in the event of an accident with the lighter trigger pull trigger.

This is the finest single stage trigger I've ever handled and truly does "break like a glass rod."

Well, I got my 10/22 trigger back from Brimstone Gunsmiths today. I sent it away June 22nd and got their top Tier 1 trigger job, which features all new Rimfire Technologies parts and extra effort in fitting and polishing for the cleanest possible break possible, with ZERO creep. Haven't shot it yet, but WOOOOOOW....I can't imagine how ANY aftermarket trigger could be better than this!! David's note said that it came out with a consistent and clean 2 pound trigger pull weight.
I see no reason to go with the Ruger BX trigger, or paying more than double (maybe triple) for a high end aftermarket trigger. If you can afford to do without your trigger for about 3-4 weeks, a Brimstone trigger job is by far the best deal around.

So what parts other than the trigger itself are RT?
$110 USD, plus $20 shipping. Gotta check my credit card to see how much I got hosed on the exchange rate, but I'm thinking it's about $165 based on my calculations.
Honestly, I don't recall. I could check the YouTube vid that Brimstone did that explains everything that goes into their Tier 1 job. I'm sure he said it was more than just the trigger, but I could be mistaken. Personally, I don't care how many new parts it has- the end result is absolutely amazing.
The SR22 triggers are priced accordingly. I tried to buy a used but couldn't find one. So I got a BX from brownells for $110 Cad. Now a couple of stock triggers have popped up on the EE, since the introduction of the BX trigger. Prices range from $60 ( stock) to $400+ (Kidd 2 stage). So for me using a SR22 a stock trigger would be fine. But since I couldn't get one at the time , the next best thing was a BX trigger.
