I like this tread. I told that story before... I own a remington police 18.5 inch barrel. It's not just a paint job. It is 37 inches long with an 11 inch lenght of pull. It fits in my ATV box and Ruck Sac. I also have a pistol grip for camping, fishing, hunting and 24 inch one day pack. It takes a few mintues to switch from pistol grip to normal stock. I added a magazine extension and a flashlight. I have it everyday... EVERYDAY. At the cottage, my boat, ATV, hunt. Pick up truck. I live up North and have used i it in competition and while hunting. It is just better than a bolt action against bears. My wife feels safer, my children feel safer and I feel safer. It is NR. Carry it everywhere.
Everybody knows that If the shotgun has a wood stock, then it's not tactical ...... so obviously it would be used for different purposes then the ones in black, plastic stocks ...... Functionally ..... They are very, very different lol.
Um, that's supposed to be good natured sarcasm .... Don't get too bogged down in marketing terms ... Just have fun and shoot some clays or grouse or tin cans.
My Benelli M4 is used for turkey hunting. Its nice and compact, has removable chokes and a fantastic set of ghost ring sights on it. Its perfect for turkey's
I have short tactical shotgun with removable chokes for me it is my number 2 when hunting. I use tav for transport so rifle and shotgun is always there
Guys does anyone know if there are any fun gatherings for "tactical" shooting? I mean like ####s and giggles days, shooting down metal plates and other targets, barbeque, etc? Wondering if there's something around Toronto.
I went with tactical/practical I bought the mossy 500 combo so I have the 18 1/2 for pi$$in around and the 24" for clays and birds. I kept it mildly tactical so it's good for all uses. Put on a side saddle and magpul forend
I had quite a few laughs, remarks about "nice riotgun", one guy asked me how I was going to hit anything (he assumed it was cylinder bore), and one of the 4 guys I shot with remarked "holy cow, the muzzle blast out of that thing".
Too bad I couldn't have used the mag. That would have topped it off.
