I made a previous post asking for thoughts on a ithaca 600 for sale at 400$ but it was quite far from home and bla bla bla
Anyway feedback were good and I went with this one.
I paid 650$ and from the serial number It was made in 1954, the blueing is made with chrome much more durable that corrosion/oxidation blueing (correct me if terms are not right but you get the idea).
Independent ejector, barrel selector under the gold trigger, the second barrel is armed with inertia i.e. If you press the trigger without shells in it the second won't fire, the recoil of the first shell will #### the second hammer sort of speak.
It has nice engraving the gun is really tight and still has some blueing where the barrel and receiver touches so I assume it was not used much.
There are some dent and scratch on the wood that is still nice looking overall condition I would say 70-80%.
Lower barrel is imp and top is mod 2 3/4" shells only and it is quite light.
I feel like this will be a good gun for clays as I am getting much more passionate about this instead of using my semi auto which involve cleaning it more often than a double barrel.
