My local Canadian Tire got a small (6) shipment of some pretty nice hex receiver mosins. out of the 6 there where 2 1926's, all rifles where in pretty nice shape. The one I picked out is a 1924 Izhevsk. looking under the rear sight you can see where (possibly) the old sight was removed and the newer style one was installed, also right behind the rear sight you can see where it was ground down for some reason? Anyone want to clear tis up for me?

Thanks

From 7.62 x 54r.net:
The M91 Dragoon was intended for mounted infantry and the M91 Cossack for cavalry.

The primary difference in the two is the Dragoon was sighted with the bayonet attached and the Cossack was not issued with a bayonet.

Most of these rifles were later updated to M91/30 specifications with new sights, handguards, and barrel bands.

How much did CT charged for that?

To much $180. I bought my m91/30's fr wholesale for $150

Lol.

My local CT is not making deals, a mosin is $199. CT in Yellowknife is the only firearms merchant in the area. No Hex. I picked a nice 1952 with a pretty nice post-war stock, but nothing "exotic" about it. I picked mine out of a batch of 6. There was one with the red/orange lettering, but I went for the best overall looking one. All matching, besides the bayo.
