Where can I buy Alox?

Hi Guys

Can anyone out there tell me where I can buy Alox or the like in Canada so that I can make the 50/50 formula lube sticks for ny Lubersizers?

Any help on matter would be much appreciated.

One of the best bullet lubes I've used is 60% beeswax and 40% vasoline by weight. Melt it slowly, then pour it into a container... That's easily available...

If you know any old CPR or CN guys ask them to find you the sticks they put on hot bearings. Work great as a bullet lube.

Lee Liquid Alox is usually available at WSS or Cabelas.

when i'm not powder coating bullets i use ben's red with great results! it's a bit messy to make and a bit messy when using it (i added extra bee's wax to make it less sticky) but it's my go to lube.

i tried making it blue but it came out green because of the yellow in the beeswax, still works the same though.

I've bought Alox (that was his question, not what to use instead of Alox) on eBay. Lots of guys sell it there, just compare shipping charges, though.

If he didn't add "Any help on matter would be much appreciated." I would agree with you. He got lots of links for alox as well as some of the other options for lube, so what's wrong with that?

just a heads up, lee liquid alox and alox for making stick lube such as 50/50 are not the same thing and are not interchangeable.
liquid alox is a very dark brown syrupy consistency.
alox for making lube sticks has a lighter brown color and consistency of peanut butter.

Many, many, years ago , 40 or more, I traveled to New York, specifically to buy Alox. The stuff to make the NRA 50/50 bullet lube is called Alox 2138 F. I bought 5 gallons of the stuff. (Smallest quantity available!)
I used some, gave some away and to make a long story short, I have none left! I do have more than a lifetime supply of lube sticks however!
A GOOGLE search might help.

I Emailed the lubrizol corporation some years ago and they directed me to some dealers.
