Have you always wanted an MP5K-ish gun?- Introducing the Lusa 9mm Restricted!

Irg care to chime in on additional mags? We talking weeks, months, years?

Yeah, same question here.
I just got back late last night from a long weekend, and seem to be SOL as far as mags goes. This is infuriating, especially after my repeated inquiries about them via PM's, thinking, mistakenly obviously, that I was going to kept in mind when they were finally available.

What if everyone who bought them had also pm'd?

Not trying to sound like a #### or anything, but why would choose to believe that you were entitled to be "kept in mind" because you hammered them with PM's? The items were high demand, short supply - giving you priority because you PM'd them repeatedly would give you an unfair advantage over those who chose to check CGN/IRG as often as possible and did not want to be bothersome to IRG by PMing them.

I could be wrong, but my impression is that IRG had more than enough for all 30 current Lusa buyers, to score two mags each, with some leftovers. Obviously some buyers bought more than two.

i believe there were 60 guns and 100 extra mags that came in.

eta: my mistake

I dont know if it will be feasible to contact all 30 customers by phone or email and wait for them to respond. There were 30 guns sold and only 100 spare mags. Ill try to do whats fair within reason but I accept that no matter which way this goes someone is gonna get upset they didnt get the amount of mags they wanted and will have to wait for the next batch that will have to be made as we will have depleted the stock of built mags. It could take 2 months before we see the second batch in Canada.

Alright, minor "range report" for this beast. Finally had some time to get out to the range, Heres the good, bad and - well, we already know the Lusa is ugly ;)

I put about 75 rounds of Blaser through it. I still only have the 1 mag - so it was a pain stopping to load after every 5 rounds.

I'll just bluntly put it - this gun is a tonne of fun to shoot. It's hard to explain WHY it is fun to shoot though. The sights are nothing to glamour over, and truth be told they are hard to pick up quickly. This may change one I get a stock put on it however. The trigger? Also nothing special. Its short, resets quickly but I found it kind of mushy.
So what makes it so fun? Well, the cocking handle is just very satisfying first of all, no it doesn't have the "Mp5 slap" - but thats okay. Racking it back and letting go is plain and simple fun. Rapid shoot (albeit 5 rounds...) is also fun. I found the gun to be quite accurate, follow up shots were easily placed as well.

Now, to move onto the bad. I'll firstly say I am not an expert - so i'm having trouble determining what the exact issue is - i'm hoping someone can fill me in or point me in the right direction.

The one magazine I have, doesnt seat and lock in properly - MOST of the time. Load the magazine up, push the magazine in, tap the bottom for good luck - And I can still pull it out with ease. At the range, it did this 90% of the time. The only way I was able to get it to seat and lock in - was holding the cocking handle back so the bolt was open, insert magazine, then release the bolt. That worked MOST of the time. Sometimes I had to do it two or three times.
After I finally got it to seat and fire the first magazine - I took a look at the magazine and found this...

Something is wrong here. It made a perfectly vertical groove down the side of the magazine. Not a damn clue as to why. Is it the magazine? Is it the magwell or gun? I have no idea.
After doing the "open bolt, insert mag, release bolt" through a box and a half of ammo - I decided to pack up and go home. Once home I reinstered the magazine (bolt closed) a good 50 or so times, and for the most part it now seems to lock in. It seems quite finicky on how I do it though - slam it in with my palm, no go. Use my hands to grip around in, lightly pull it up and usually will click in.

I have 2 more magazines that will be here soon, i'm curious to see if they will fit well or also leave a big indent down the side.

Well, small conclusion? I love this damn gun. Despite me having issues, I have no intention to ever sell it. It's too much fun. If I can figure out what the hecks happening, i'll be a lot happier though.

Got mine today (finally), mine was soaking in oil. Very little orange residue inside the mag well or.inside the rifle itself.
Mag is a bit stiff but nothing a little tap won't take care of. Hopefully in time it will work itself smooth.

What grain ammo you guys running through it??

Jeese Doc thats odd. One of my 7 mags (Im kidding, only have 1) was so friggin tight to get in and specially out, that I had to grind down part of the rivet. Now shes snug but easy enough to remove and she does lock in. Havnt fired it yet, and no ideas re that groove.
