I get citric acid from my local wine making shop. I use 1/4 tablespoon of citric acid and 1 tablespoon of dish soap.
A tablespoon is only 15grams.
Might be alot to some, but that's what I use.
To each their own.
The distributor of the pins in the States suggests 1/4 teaspoon lemishine and 1 -2 tablespoons of Dawn per gallon of water . Using excess lemishine etches the brass .
But as you say To each their own
I got looking for citric acid tonight and couldn't find the Lemishine, koolaid or wine making supplies.
I did find "President's Choice Cool Delight Tangerine Grapefruit" first ingredient listed is citric acid. Comes in 24g packets, 10 to a box for 1.50 or so. Enough tarnish-be-gone for a long time.
The key is not to drink the used water even if it smells delicious.
