CZ 858 - When Will They Start Pouring Back In??

We used to have a particularly healthy stream of thr 858 here in Canada, that was prematurely plugged up. With the ammendments to C42, how long before we start see our beloved once again?

Will they be direct from CZ, Century Arms mods, or what?

More importantly - when??

How do you think this will play out, and how will it affect the new 958 when it releases?

Love to hear your thoughts. Also, congrats to all those who have had theirs hidden in the safes. Like finally taking off your pants on Thanksgiving.
 
According to the guy trying to get $1500 for his on the EE, NEVER AGAIN! Lmao who knows. I understand Wolverine lost a few shipments to the saviours of our streets who seized containers full of fully automatic rifles that only operate in semiauto fashion. I don't know if any importers would want to risk the investment to try again or not. Does anyone know what happened to the seized 858's? Were they kept in Gov't possession, handed off to Wolverine or sent back?

Looks like it actually sold. I guess there really is a sucker born every minute.
 
Wolverine Supplies, which was the primary importer of genuine CZ-858 rifles, has stated that they will not be importing anymore after this last mess. Instead they're working with CZ to create the next gen version dubbed the CZ-958. If you want the more traditional 858 pattern, CSA and the FSN series imported by Marstar are your best bet. Neither manufacturer was affected by the RCMP reclassification fiasco.

Sure. Probably.

But it won't be wolverine. Not by all they have said. Of course it is possible those 858 with Canadian barrels in the Czech Republic have been parted out to be used in 958 receivers. If they even exist.

Do you think the RCMP will let them in Country? They held up the last shipment for months on end and cost Wolverine 10's of thousands in storage fees at the customs warehouse before sending them back. Will anyone be willing to take that chance again?

And as Fenceline said, the 858's were probaly parted out for the new 859's.
