Does anyone know the shipping weight of norinco 1911a1

Does anyone know the shipping weight of the norinco 1911a1 in the case with 2 mags.

I was quoted $40.00 shipping one province away. Then after double checking it dropped to $27. That was with the shipping weight set to 10 pounds !

I'm thinking the gun weighs 2.3 pounds. A couple mags and a case couldn't bring it up to 10 ?

Anyone ship one recently ? How much did it cost you?

That was my suggestion to the seller. The weight is the issue.

Last one I shipped was $30 3 provinces away in plastic box too

Could bump up to 4.5-5-ish lbs all wrapped up. I saw one with weight listed as 39 oz, so add two mags, maybe 4 oz? a piece, case 10 oz? Cardboard, tape, all adds up.

Depends on the size of the box it's being sent in too. Could also be insured and with signature etc. The seller may be charging you for time and supplies related to shipping. Ultimately if you don't like the quoted price, you can dispute it or move on.

Go to Canada Post website to get an estimate... Same province, 5lbs, box of 12"x12"x6" insured for $300 + signature is $27 for regular parcel and $46 for priority...
