inexpensive beginner rifle in .223

I bought a Weatherby Vanguard S2 and Nikon scope this spring and have no regrets, plus you'd have enough cash left for a sh*t ton of ammo.
WSS had them on sale.

firts im not a mossberg guy
but see a women shoot moa at 200v whit cheap ammo at my range
she let me try and i do 1.8'' whit 4 bullet at 200v seem like good deal to me but the bipod is cheap so sell it and buy a good front rest

I know a guy who bought that package. He says the rifle shoots pretty well but the scope is garbage (Barska I think), so he replaced that asap.

buy the 10x bushnell i think moa at 300m whit this kit is very possible whit a good shooter beside the trigger

Two years ago I went with the 700 sps tactical in .223 and have been very pleased with it. Topped it with a bushnell scope and away I went.

When I built my budget build I spent $300 on a Savage Axis in .308 and $600 on a Vortex scope with nice base and rings. $150 for the bipod but that's optional. Was wishing I would have got .223 and spent $50 extra for the AccuTrigger. So I sold it and found a used Rem 700 VTR in .223 at a local gun show. Transferred the scope onto the 700 and am really happy with how the rifle shoots.

why recomend an axis? im not say its bad, but its a disposable begineers gun thats normaly a 1.5 moa rifle

For $1200, you can get a model 11, 11/111 or even a model 16 savage that will beat the pants of an axis, and is a gun worth keeping. With either you can still drop a nice optic 300 (model 16) to $700 (model 11, 11/111) on it.

At $1200 you could get a tikka T3 and a vortex diamond back scope which would be a nice setup to learn and get good at with a 1 moa guarantee. pricing it out from WWS it comes in at $1080 for a t3 lite synthetic in .223, a vortex DB 3-9 BDC , add $50 for decent rings and your set to go.

I will throw in a vote for a savage mod11 hog hunter. Medium heavy barrel, accutrigger, 1-9 twist and can be had new for around $600. Leaves plenty for a good scope and rings.

Remington 700 SPS AAC-SD $875, Bushnell Elite 10X scope $300, can upgrade the trigger and stock to a Bell & Carson on the 700 later if required, also add a flash hider or muzzle break
