I have a 12.5 Dominion Arms Grizzly with ghost rings and I want to remove them. I love the shotgun but the front ghost ring snags on things. Has anyone tired to remove there's? I was hoping for non destructive but I don't think that's gonna happen. Any thought? Thanks.

The front sight on the barrel is soldered on
30 seconds with a propane torch and a small tap is all it takes to remove it
Clean up the rough spot with emery cloth and paint the barrel flat black and you'll never know it was there
Put one of these on and the job is done

I like mine as well but the sights do get caught when removing from a scabbard at times.
Keep the gun, its nice as far as shotguns go. The sights just get caught on everything, a nice fibre optic and its should be perfect. Im going to remove the sight off mine tomorrow.

If it's soldered on it shouldn't be hard to get off with a reg propane torch. Heat it up at the base of the sight till you can tap it off, wipe excess off with a damp rag before it cools and solidifies. Should be no different than soldering a copper pipe, solder will melt way before steel gets cherry red so no worries there.
Keep the tip of the flame directed at the base.

I use it as a bear gun, have it in a pretty standard shotgun scabbard. Found the front sight tries to grab the material inside the scabbard. The sights are nice, just more then needed for the situation. IF I can get it off Im sure I will end up putting it on something else at some point.

If it's brazed you'll need a proper torch to get things near cherry red, brass has a higher melting point than solder, crappy tire or Home Depot sells a small brazing torch that uses an oxygen & propane tank. It works well for small diy brazing jobs, the oxygen tanks don't last too long but they get things real hot. I can get 1/4" thick 1018 cold rolled flat bar cherry red with mine.
