bb; These two bullets are usually quite close, in my experience. However, some rifles shoot the two to different points of impact.
I would try it, starting with the BT, then substitute the AB in 5 rounds and try that.
If you are running a max working load, it may be wise to drop back a grain when changing bullets and working up again. [safety margins]

I think you can learn a lot by using the Bal.Tip for some of the work, but, in the end, you will have to do some legitimate testing of the A.B. before you actually hunt with it. Nosler's manual uses the same loads for all its bullets of any given weight, so it seems they think it will work in terms of charge weights. But you can never tell what any given rifle will do with any given bullet, so test it for accuracy.
I have had very good accuracy and results with AB bullets after deciding the BT is just too frangible for my liking. Very similar performance, but not identical in the gun, but AB's give very good performance on game. I don't have any AB from game animals as yet (I like two holes), but I have some "tested" bullets from water jugs and wet newsprint. I like them a lot.

They are very similar and you could probably use the same data. I do have one .300 Win barrel that put the POI 3 inches apart horizontally for no reason I could ever determine. Those Accubonds were older, old enough that they came in the old box and there may have been some unseen difference. My RUM puts the Ballistic tips 1/2 MOA higher than the Accu-bonds and shoots them a bit better. The tiny bit of improved accuracy seems to be a trend straight across the line.
I swap back and forth between the two bullets myself, having a pile of .300 Wins, a WSM and a RUM using the same bullets. As an aside, the 180 Ballistic tip is a lot tougher than people who don't use them seem to think. I put one through a northern BC moose, and don't remember anything smaller ever stopping one.
I just did this using 140 grain bullets in my 7mm mag. My pet load is 62 gr IMR 4350 and a 140 grain Accubond. However, I couldn't find the Accubonds anywhere and those selling them privately want too much. So I bought the 140 grain Ballistic tip hunting. I ended up ( working up the load first) using the same recipe and the grouping was the same as the Accubond but the Ballistic tip was a little higher at 100 yrds. So in the end a little scope adjustment and now I am good to go. I am pretty sure when hunting the Ballistic tip doesn't hold together as well. A few years ago I was using the 150 BT and it would blow up upon impact, wasting a lot of meat. This is why I liked the Accubond. I hope these newer BT are better.
