so who loves a BLR?

I've had a half dozen or so over the years, and I love'em. They combine the best points of traditional levers (flat-sided, easy carrying, fast-cycling action) with the attributes of bolt guns (box magazine, solid strong lockup for excellent accuracy). The only ones I don't see any use for are the long-action models...way too long, cumbersome lever throw. I'm thinning the herd drastically nowadays, so I probably won't ever buy another...unless, of course, a takedown, straight-grip .358 comes along...:)

Your load and barrel harmonics are just a bit out of synch. If you hand load try adjusting your powder 0.1 grain at a time. You should only have to go 0.1 or 0.2 grains wither way.

Got 3 of them, .308, 22-250 and .22
Nothing wrong with any of them, all shoot excellent!
Detachable box mags make it a winner on the two centerfire guns.

No sir! Only beautiful Winchester lever guns.

To each their own.

Vomit inducing to me. Please note this is not a reflection of their accuracy, ergonomics, or reliability, just their looks.

I tend to agree, to my eyes it is truly one of the most visually unappealing rifles ever made. That said, to each their own, they seem to be well made, well finished rifles that are appreciated by many people, just does not fit what my perception of a lever action should look like. But what the hell do I know about aesthetics, I am currently trying to find a Ruger Guide Gun to purchase so I obviously have some visual impairment, lol.
