i recently emailed Saskatoon gun works about getting a new stock for my savage 110 LRH. needless to say ive never had such a good customer service experience, he told me the stocks they could get and gave me a ton of info to think about. after its all said and done, anyone needing parts for their guns, go to these guys they are great!

Now for the gun, im very pleased with the look and feel, but i have some issue i hope i can get solved. the butt-stock is a MAGPUL PRS and the cheek riser is stuck, i was just adjusting it up and it locked and cant be moved at all. the Chassis is another thing of beauty. but the magazine can slide up into the path of the bolt, is there something ive done wrong or maybe something i haven installed?

For anyone asking its chambered in .338LM

(if anyone wants to tell me how to post pictures that would help to :) )

Was the chassis specifically for a Savage in 338? As for the stock, the riser might have come off it's internal track. You might have to disassemble and find out whats going on internally.
Anyways, beauty rig!

it was indeed, it was built for a savage long action, but the issue is when you insert the mag, it dosent stop you sort of have to put it in, then pull the mag down so it isn't in the way of the bolt.

Is the magazine well in the 338lm maybe a bit bigger than a standard long action caliber allowing the magazine to ride high? If possible I'd check and see if another rifle in the stock that is a 300wm or other large caliber has the same problem.

The butt stock issue has been resolved, for anyone else with this issue there is a screw bow the knob to adjust the cheek peace, simply remove that screw, and it should be free to move again. When you lower it back to the original position put the screw back in. That's how I fixed it hope that helps !

There's a guy on here that sells bolt lift kits, his name is marcel, not sure about his CGN handle though. If you haven't already, you can put a mercury recoil reducer in the buffer tube to help tame the recoil. I also find the palm shelf grip helps with inadvertent muscling and lets me focus better on my trigger pull. The gun looks great though! How much does it weigh?

What exactly do you mean by bolt lift kit? And I'll measure the weight tomarow if I remember. The recoil doesn't bother me to much it just keeps me from shooting it all day which costs me a fortune anyways, the only one it bothers is my father because he isn't as many as his 16 year old son :)
