How many pistols of the same calibre do you own?

3 45 acp 2 pistol and a revolver
3 45 Colt revolvers
3 38/357 revolvers
1 9mm pistol

Hopefully will ad another 45 Colt, seems to be my favourite.

I like to take 4 or 5 to the range at a time. So they each get a little rest and not get too hot.

Then I got the 44 bug. I got a snub 44 special followed by a snub 44 mag, followed by a full size 44 mag, and am now looking for a 44 mag lever action to round it out. I have 5 ar's in both .223 and .308 but no bolt guns at all at the moment. It never really ends, and you never really know what will catch your eye next

Man, I feel that. .44 is so much more... really wish I could have got one of those semi-autos Ruger made...

Revolvers - .17HMR .22lr .38 special only .357mag
Pistols - .22lr, 9mm, .40 S&W, .45acp
Wish I had more, but the money bucket is not heavy enough as it is to feed any of these. I usually only shoot handgun in between rifle groups to allow the barrels to cool without all the boredom. I always take a box of each type of ammo with me which takes enough time to load/shoot that I shoot with cold rifle barrels.

x3 - 9mm. Looking to get a 4th. Still debating if i should buy a p226 mk25. Also a 500 s&w is planned. After looking at the cost of .45acp ammo lately (and also factoring how much 9mm i shoot per visit), i may not buy one.

You plan to buy a .500S&W but .45 acp is too expensive? I'm guessing you're planning on shooting one cylinder per range visit?

Something like that. Maybe even just 1 round per visit. Unless i am letting my anti friends shoot it i don't plan to shoot more than 1 box per year myself. Plus also i plan on getting an ar15 and a boltie so i have to factor the cost of ammo for those firearms.

I hope you have your handgun fundamentals down. The .500 will kick! I've shot one and, let's say, one cylinder is more than enough!
I'll rather shoot 200rds of .45 than the Beast!

I have a pair of 9mm's and a pair of 40 cal's. Also a 45 and a 38/357 mag.
My 40 cal's are my primary shooters, followed by 9mm.
Would really like to get a HK USP, just need to decide on 40 or 9mm..

True enough. It does have the ability to inflict pain, ;)at both ends.

Surprisingly, changing the rubber Hogue grips it came with to a set of custom set of Jordan Trooper stocks by Herritt's made the recoil manageable.
Oh, side issue, the calibre is an accurate shooter with any handloads I've put through it.

Hot loads, light loads, cast or jacketed bullets, doesn't seem to matter. They all do well:d.

3 in 44 magnum. (And 2 in 44 Special)

2 38 Special and 1 357 that was fed alot of 38.

4 in 22 LR.

The one small bore Hammerli and a Ruger Mk II both get alot of range time.

Followed by the 38 Specials, for the second most range time.

I figure a Glock Model 17 might be in my not so distant future. It can keep the 1911 company.

99% of the time the 357 comes along for the ride. The 22lr, 9mm, 40, 44Mag, 45ACP and 50 stays at home.

50 has been upset lately; haven't made a fireball in quite a while.

I've got a 9 mm and a .22 LR, M&Ps from Smith and Wesson. I may go for an 1911 next, but a 9 mm to keep the cost of ammo down. I'm also thinking of a revolver in the future, either 9 mm or .357. I like the Jerry Michlek 929 from the Smith & Wesson Performance Center if I decide to cough up that much money.

It's just for fun. Not to be taken seriously. 1 round is most likely more than enough. Not too concerned about tight groups or hitting the bullseye. As long as the round hits the backstop then i'm good.
