Bought my new Hatsan MPA shotgun here in Calgary from TFC. Great people to deal with. Have fired about 200 rounds out of it at the time. Anyhow had a few screws on the Rear Sight Picitany rail work loose and get lost. Called TFC. They told me to call Bell Lifestyle Products in Ontario for parts and service. Wow, talk about great service. They told me my Hatsan shotgun was under warranty for 5 years. Sent the screws UPS free of charge within a week. Now, that is service!

WTH man... I get a 795, turns out you're a 795 fan.

I got an MPA a week and a half ago...

We really need to start bumping into each other at the range... Or maybe not, we'll never figure out which guns are our own to take home. Next thing you'll tell me you like old 1897's, k31s, and shiny new Beretta 92fs's...

Yes, those screws coming loose is a common thing with the MP line. Best to tighten them before first outing. Locktite if you must, just don't let it drip down into the receiver and seize the bolt like another guy did.

I'm more a 1911 fan than Beretta. Was hoping to bump into you at the last 3 gun shoot at Shepard but didn't know more than 1/2 the guys.

I was at the last 3 gun shoot... not sure how we missed each other. Going to miss service rifle on Sunday - out in Bantario visiting the "civilized" in-laws.

I have a cheap 1911. Need to sell it to fund a decent one.

Good to know about the Hatsan sight screws. Didn't get a chance to get mine out the the range before I took off to come visit the in-laws. I'll strip it down and loctite it before going to the range.

Then we did meet up, you were showing me your MPA, which convinced me to go out and buy the one I just got. I was just using my shorty 870 bear gun, and all the shotgun stages were what completely killed my overall score (and my new AR wasn't exactly sighted in, but oh well). That short 870 was definitely unsuited to the task at hand, though.

Still, 17th out of 26 for my first attempt at 3 gun, I shouldn't kick myself too hard. It was a good learning experience, and I was able to pick out a couple of easy things to improve my score next time. The young fellas will always outrun me, so I'll just have to shoot a lot better next time.

Ok. I remember you now. Glad I did such a good sales job on you. You'll love the new scatter gun. Just point and pull the trigger till it goes click. Hardest part in 3 Gun is learning to load fast. Its all about reloading. Shotgun anyway. The shooting part ain't so tough. Fun though. Signed up for the Cdn National Steel Challenge Oct 3. Should be a giggle. We'll have to go gopher shooting next year. I have a rancher near Didsbury and another down near Old Man River Dam. Later.

Reloading is definitely a time killer on the shotgun stages. I've never in my life had to speed reload a shotgun, and boy it showed. Skills wise, that's a big area for improvement for me, something to really work on.

As soon as I get back from holidays, ordering the mag extension from S&J - should still be legal for 3" shells but give a bit better capacity for 2&3/4"... Also need to figure out the voodoo dance to ghost load the Hatsan.
