I know this isn't WWI or II but I figured you guys would know.

Digging through some boxes, dug out a few Canadian LAW tubes that a family friend brought home from exercises in the 70's. Condition excellent; pins, switch covers, labels and pointy bits are all intact. CDN ordinance label from '68.

Are de-milled/replica rockets available?

How common are the Canadian marked tubes vs US issue?

Are they worth anything?

Any input appreciated.

I sold an expended Cdn M72 last year that I had fired more than 40 yrs ago and hung on to as a souvenir. They are in demand. I've never heard of a demilled M72 projectile. Mine was dated 1968 in nice shape with a French language label added to the tube.

Worth more than they should be. And aslong as it isnt live you are good. Dewat rockets are available but the last one i saw was worth over 600 dollars.

You are in possession of range scrap but it is not the powers that be really really discourage private possession. (Ask one fellow on CGN how much it cost him ... ) Official ignorance is rampant.

Yes, Canadian made ones have a premium just because they are Canadian. The labels are bilingual and AFAIR there were some subtle differences, like the soldier is probably wearing some representation of combats not BDUs.

How much are they worth? Whatever you can get, I suppose. Do you have the end caps and sling? As for replica innards, I would not even try. Because the rocket is preloaded at the factory, anything that looks like it could go bang will attract too much attention. Leave the tube open and empty.

Canadian tubes are not as common as U.S. Tubes just by sheer volume that were produced in the states that would have made it into civy hands. I have never come across a collector that is looking to have a set from every country but I'm sure a few guys in that niche exist....but otherwise once you have a tube your good to go if collecting various rockets and tubes. so I don't necessarily see them carrying a premium other then to someone in Canada that wants one from home with bilingual language with good condition labels.

i bought a few for friends and I a few years ago, got one for 125 and the others for 150 each. They pop up on the EE from time to time, most of them I have seen in the 200-250 range. If you want to fetch top price, then it has to be mint and you will find buyers at 250-350. A mint tube to fetch higher end of the price scale or above would have cap covers included, sling, pin, etc.

Thanks for the quick responses guys, much appreciated.

The tubes are just as purple described, with the bilingual instructions etc.

I'll throw up a pic or two when I clear some bench space.

Cheers.
