Enfield 1918 SSA Question

It is definitely stamped SSA. I figured the guy used the wrong punch. I own 3 other BSA's, and they all say BSA. I guess I have an odd duck.

I agree with 5Th. It should be stamped SSA to the left of the bolt channel and have no manufacturer identifier on the wrist if it is a peddled scheme rifle. I haven't had as many in my hands as 5TH but I have had a couple, an NRF and an SSA. I believe either NRF or SSA rifles could have been assembled by BSA or Enfield factories, neither the National Rifle Factory or Standard Small Arms made complete, assembled rifles.

No doubt that it looks like SSA but it is BSA, sometimes stamps get damaged which leads to some letters or numbers to look like something different, to me i can see a faint link at the top of the 'S' & the bottom tail of the 'S' looks off because it's the bottom left of a B.

Here's the stamp on my 1918 BSA, the B is complete but the tail is missing on the S

We need to see a close up & clear pic of your markings & without highlighting, even just out of focus photos can be misleading even though the stamps are undamaged.
What does this read?
To me the bottom line looks like it reads 1905

Here's a clear photo of the same marking.
As you can see it is in fact 1903
