The SAM 1911s posted here have been treated better than they way the owners have probably treated their wives.

Well when your wife blows up you could loose your house and car.
When your gun blows up you could loose a portion of your face.
You can always get another house and car.
But they can't always sew your nose back on.

NETGUY1999 revolvers are one thing but pistols I am drawn to the black ones.
But that's one nice pistola

Umm..do all SAMs need a bit of work to bring them to a respectable finish and accuracy? I've heard that about Norinco, so wondering.

I have currently have two and owned a third before that. They all shot well out of the box with no reliability issues.

They don't have any tooling marks. Comparing one to a Norinco is like comparing a Ruger to a Norinco.

My Military 9mm came from Wolverine .
Soon as it arrived I field stripped it looking for any burs ,flash or tool marks.
Inside and out it was as I expected.
I put 100 rounds of 20+ year old AE 124gr through it with out one problem,
except that we ran out of 9mm.

Thanks! It's my first 9mm 1911.

How do these compare to a ruger 1911? Been considering a new ruger in stainless but these look sweet. I also thought about a sti Spartan but the ruger is about the same money... any opinions on these ?

I love sams would and have taken one over a ruger, ive owned all three mentioned guns and for the price the sam is hard to beat but with sti discontinuing the spartan the sam will now rule the -$1000 1911 market since their biggest competition is gone.

I find them to be quite pimpy as is.

Tremendous value and quality for the money.

My enhanced commander is very tight in terms of fit all around.

One thing I absolutely love...almost sterile in terms of brand and makers markings.

I have one of the 9mm Military stainless ones and the fit is great, very tight, no gaps or any slop and I find the slide racks great, very smooth.

Can you put an ambidextrous safety on one?
Also what's the difference between a commander and an enhanced commander?
Thanks for any info

I didn't mean "you" as in you. I meant "you" as in me.
But then I checked YouTube and it looks easy. So never mind
But the second question still stands.
But, seeing as I'm talking to myself; I guess I'll call.
