I have an Oehler 35P, purchased 2000, always worked. No missed shots and no errors. Can't say anything about Magnetospeed, never used one. If you do load development shooting through a chronograph the Oehler would be a better choice.
The Oehler, although i don't have one is going to be more of a pain to set up by yourself. mognetospeed it really easy to use, and lets me know what my velocities are every single time. Can't think how you feel your Oehler is a better idea? FS
The Magnetospeed is heavy enough that you can't shoot groups and chrono at the same time. I would be looking at the new doppler system made in QC or the Steinert that can be used way out. For that matter if your club needs electronic targets as well the SMT system gives velocity at the target. The SMT is $3000 per target but it scores and does all kinds of useful stuff, made in Canada.
It's running about $560 USD (Approximately $740 CDN) plus shipping.. A far cry from the estimated $500 CDN plus shipping..
I bought the Magnetospeed couple months ago best thing I bought for a while fits easily into my shooting bag, sets up easily in a few minuets for checking loads. It does change the POI so not a good choice for load development unless your just going for velocity. I've checked more loads in a few months than I did in years with my shooting Chorny, to much of a hassle to set up. My brother in law blew his to smithereens with 300 win trying to shoot groups LOL.
Haha, yeah, that's my biggest fear when I setup my Chrony. I already shot it with an air rifle testing it out. lol
I'll wait and see what the feedback is on those dopler ones.

Picked up the Magnetospeed Sporter a month or two ago, and while it worked very well at the range the one time I managed to get out there, the XFR unit (their dongle for moving data from the display to a phone for emailing) didn't get along with my iPhone 4S... but that's another thread on here somewhere.
Anyway, after a couple of emails to Magnetospeed support (who provided very quick turn-around via e-mail), they offered to take back the XFR unit ($25 USD) and the Sporter display ($80) and send me a Version 3 display ($160) in return, as I had expressed a bit of unhappiness over the one-button interface - the version 3 had three buttons and a larger display. Needless to say, I took the offer immediately.
I finally took the new hybrid unit (Sporter sensor with a V3 display) out to the range earlier this week and it worked as well as I could have hoped for. The only adjustment required was that I had to crank up the sensitivity a bit as I was shooting a heavy (thick) barrel with .223 projectiles - the unit missed the first shot, I made the adjustment, and all shots after that were logged successfully.
Unfortunately, I can't give an indication of POI shift, as I was working up a new load and didn't think to take any shots without the bayonet in place. I'll try to post a follow-up when I get a chance to go shooting again, er, to generate more data...
However, I can report that the rifle was shooting .5" groups and smaller at 100 yards with the bayonet in place, so I don't think the unit is affecting group size negatively.
To sum up:
- the product works very well;
- support was there for me; and
- the company is definitely customer-oriented - even to us Canucks!

the labradar is more money no question over the long haul best way to go with the best accuracy and not having it in the shooting lane is always good, I am sold I have put my name on the list for delivery in Nov I hope if all goes well here is to hoping!!
