I just love this thing. Can't seem to find a single flaw in it. Enjoy the picture :)

I've always wondered about these. I've heard nothing but good things about them but i have to wonder..... Is there actually $600 worth of increased quality/extra features and benefits over the regular $895 Shadow? Is the gun far more accurate, more reliable or noticeably more finely crafted? Or is it at least partially a matter of image/marketing/perceived exclusivity etc?

Other than the grips and coloured base plates on the mags what are the differences? I notice the hammer is a different shape. Does that provide improved performance in some way?

That's the cz competition hammer improves the DA pull just put one in my standard shadow. I am not sure what other improvements are on/in this pistol handled one earlier this week sure feels nice

My wife has the stainless version and she loves it!
Very accurate and reliable! Single action pull is ridiculous and the reset is soooooo short!

I know I'll miss something, but among the upgrades are:

  • Aluminum Grips and Mag Base plates
  • Upgraded Hammer
  • Short Reset Trigger kit
  • Optimized Slide return spring
  • Optimized Hammer spring (lightens trigger pull)
  • Polishing of internal components

I'm sure that there are other upgrades/mods, but those are the ones I can think of of the top of my head.

I think also
- better fit and finish
- better sights
- extra mag (2 instead of 3)
- extra recoil/main/firing pin springs
- super duper case

Other CGNers have reported better accuracy compared to their standard Shadow, so probably fitted barrel?

From the factory, my SA trigger pull is < 3 lbs (around 2 3/4). Haven't measured the DA one.
