I have a great Wife she told me to take my RPAL and go buy myself a treat...lol, I have been thinking about getting a more modern Rifle as I have a lot of surplus Guns....I came home with this fella! Scope is only a 9 x 40 BSA but I will upgrade it later and the Bipod is a Champion Harris style....can't wait to get some range time in soon. Will show a range report when possible. Remington 783 in .308.

My wife told me to order something nice for my 50th as well and seeing as how she was paying for it I ordered a Cooper Model 51 204R in an all stainless action and barrel. I had a stainless Zeiss conquest in 4.5X14 laying around so I put some Talley stainless rings and bases and called it good enough for now. I have only shot 10 rounds out of it so far for barrel break in and will start load development for it next month before coyote season opens. My wife is a keeper for sure.

My 50th is in Oct, I'll be showing my wife this for sure! She's actually in the US this weekend and is bringing back a new Foxpro so I'm not complaining. :)

I bought it in Halifax at The Halifax Army navy Store; I actually went there just to buy some Ammo and I had permission from my Wife to buy another Gun for my B'Day , I was kind of all over the place about my next firearm purchase from getting another Pistol to buying another Surplus Rifle (Still Alive will back me up on that one....lol) but there were some guys looking at this Rifle at the Store so I figured I haven't owned a modern large caliber Rifle so I bought it....Range time booked for early Sept so I will do a Range report...should be fun!
