I know this is mainly centerfire but there doesn't seem to be much interest in rimfire benchrest in the rimfire section so I thought I would post here. Shot this target this morning at Mission, my best score yet - 2300. Perfect score is 2500 and scoring is on the worst edge. The rifle is a custom, Stiller 2500X action, Benchmark 3 groove barrel, Jewel trigger set at 1 1/2 oz., Shehane Tracker stock, Harrel tuner and a Leupold Competition 45X scope. Ammo is Lapua Center X, distance is 50 yards, rifle shot off of a one piece rest.

Great shooting! Have a question about the tuner on the muzzle though. Why do you only see them on rim fire rifles and not on centre fire rifles?

Thanks, main reason for the tuner is to tune the barrel vibrations to the ammo. Center fire shooters can tune by hand loading. There are some center fire shooters who are experimenting with barrel tuners now.

Yesterday I tried (and failed) the 1/2" rimfire challenge several times . . . your target(s) are unbelievable! Could you please give us details on who built this rifle, where you sourced the action, barrel, stock, rest, etc?

The rifle was built at Black Art rifles in BC and all parts were purchased from a member in the EE.

About the tuner, I have fit a number for a fellow shooting 7-270. He says they are very effective and as long as your load is reasonable they can really zoom in your groups. They were from ezellcustomrifles.com.
