Optima 410

I just bought me an almost brand new (3 shots fired) folding shot gun and soft case from a buddy from out of town that is visiting for the week end. I didn't do any research on this brand, I just knew I wanted it for handiness in forest trail vehicles. It's the black stock one, not the cammo. $175. cash. He says that's what he paid for it. Good enough gun - reasonable deal?

That's a bit more than I paid for mine new at a store before taxes. It's a very cheap gun but it is also as light as a stick and I got a grouse with it. No real complaints except watch where your hands are when you close the breach as I found it a bit pinchy.

Used single shots, generally I wouldn't pay more than 150 for a used blued one, but 410s are always fetching more money though

Is that the 410 side by side with exposed hammers? The ones I am thinking of were very low end guns.

make sure it closes with a round in the chamber, this is a common problem for the .410 models

It's made in Turkey by Lazer Arms. Single barrel, single shot, silver receiver with scroll work.
Seems like a cheap peeza, but should be very handy. I could even carry it under my snowmobile hood.
