SPUHR mounts

Question for you guys - I looked hard at the SPUHR mono mounts, but looked away when I saw they couldn't come anywhere near as low as just rings. I've got ATRS low rings waiting for my ATACR. Am I wrong??

-J.
they have different height mounts, or is their lowest height still too tall?

If I remember right, the lowest SPUHR is about 1.2", whereas ATRS etc get to .8".

ATRS 30mm low is .888 spuhr rings are as low as 1", but even the 1.2" on the one piece is usually too low to not have barrel interference with a large objective scope on most rifles.

What are you putting this on because it sounds like the rail is quite a bit higher than the action for you to be able to use such low mounts.

It'll be going on a Savage 110FCP .338, and it'll be an 56mm objective, on a Farrell 20MOA rail. It's a 34mm tube. These worked on my buddy's BA, so I'm assuming it'll work on my FCP.....

So did you get your mount yet OP?

My personal opinion is to get as much MOA as possible added when building the long range guns. I had a 20mOA base on my 338, but still ran just shy on elevation to get to a mile. Next build will have at least 40 Moa between the base and the rail.
