Looking for a spring to hold the two parts in the picture together, it is a Tavor bolt release.
I never expected to lose this part so I am at a loss as to where they are sold.

Any help is appreciated.

Please note that I have already contacted NS around a dozen times by phone and email, I am not interested in using said vendor.

That sucks man, but unless said part happens to show up on brownells, NS is your only bet unless you want to pay IWI US then have the part imported with a $200 import fee through Irunguns.

NS has a monopily on IWI in Canada. Just the way it is, if you want to boycott them, boycott buying guns they import but that SEVERLY limits your choices since I would guess they are the largest importer.

I was doing a fairly deep clean as I had put roughtly 5,000 rounds of norinco ammo through it. I wasn't very experienced with the process and I guess the spring got away from me.

Like I said. You have 3 options.

A) pray NS looks after you
B) hope Brownells happens to carry that obscure part
C) get Irunguns to look after you for a $200 import fee to take care of the paperwork.

Short of making one, those are your options unfortunately. So let me simplify it for you, NS is your best option, and likely have the part in stock.

All you need to do is have patience and persistence enough to deal with them. If you don't have patience enough for that I doubt you will want to wait for Irunguns either, and the chance of Brownells carrying this obscure part in the future is slim to none.

You are going to have to set your issue with NS aside if you have interest in getting your part with out opening your wallet for an exorbitant import paperwork fee.

Option D) Crawl around on your hands and knees till you find it.
How far could it have possibly gone? Or were you doing a full strip down in your back yard over the grass?

No need to get on your hand and knees just change the bag in your vacuum and run the vacuum back and forth around the area you might have dropped your spring, than check the bag.

Have you to try talking to a gun shop you bought the rifle from or one that sells Tavor? as a retailer they might get a better response time from NS.

It was the hardest thing I ever had to do... Sending them money for parts just killed me inside. Specially when IWI USA will send them to you for free under warranty, While the canadian importer charged me over 100$...

But since they have the monopoly they can give it to you without lube as they see fit...

NS is not getting a cent of my money, I would rather fabricate the part myself than give my money to a business that shows such contempt for its customers.

It's a tiny spring dude... I'd rather go to the US and buy it myself. Are you even reading what you're typing? $200 to import a .99c spring?

Thank you for taking the time to write up a pretty detailed reply though.

I've moved since then. I did not notice it was missing until reassembling it a few days later and by then it could not be found.

I totally understand what I am saying. But as a piece of a firearm it will be ITAR controlled and could land you 5 years in federal prison as billy-bob's play thing. Totally your call though.

Just take it out of the package then it's just a random spring that must have fallen out of the kids toy truck when he was smashing it into crap the other day.

This is what I was thinking, what makes a "firearm spring" different from any other spring you can get at a hardware store?
