Ruger Precision Rifle Coming Soon!

Wanstalls, whats going on with this mag issue? Did you guys hear anything about it? I have money down on a 308.
 
Seeing as the RPR action is based on the Ruger American action, I am surprised to hear of any issues with function. Where did you see that? Interesting if it's true.

just in case anybody is confused wolfbane is referring to another thread. Not this one. posts 44 and 45 here have no relation to what he is inquiring about
 
Just found this on a website if anybody is interested.

"Due to Canadian firearms law governing the M110/SR25/DPMS/Magpul® type magazines these rifles will be supplied with One 10 rnd metal Ruger Scout magazine."
 
while i do love my pmags. I have no complaints to a 10 round scout magazine. They aren't cheap at around $75 each up here. As far as i understand they aren't pinned either as they are made and designed for the bolt action scout.
Plenty of pmags around once the rifles arrive. I never even thought the scout magazine would work.

But having to switch to a scout magazine makes me think there is issues with riveting the pmags. Perhaps they dont fit in the magwell once riveted? Would love to know what the whole story is. Clearly using a 5/10 pmag in the rifle wont be illegal so just wondering why its caused all the issues.
