I've had exceptional good luck with the 139gr interlock over H4350 from ranges of 50 to 310 meters on white tail... The few who do move after the shot look like they were slopping a bucket of red paint on the surrounding fauna... Truly a budget friendly non premium bullet that works very VERY well.

OP didn't specify deer or moose for his 7/08.

I personally do not see a need for premiums in a 7/08 for deer. Moose ... maybe go with a TSX/TTSX/NP/etc.

Any C&C bullet would work fine for deer.

Been caught on that a time or six myself.

Indeed there is no need for uber ultra, controlled expansion pills in a 7-08.
120 gr. Ballistic Tips will do too, as they are a far tougher pill than most folks realize.

open field hunting go with the 120's as they fly flatter, if your in cover go with the 140's, when in doubt stick with 130

I use the 139 Hornady bullets on deer but have used the 120 BT'S on coyotes... from where I am sitting right now, I can see the stand that I shoot coyotes from... the 120 BT'S are effective and do remarkably little pelt damage.
