with the good help of our Why not? i ended to load some 200 nosler partition for my wife`s full stock zastava 30-06.

here is the results on the last three shots at the local range at 100 meters. she shot a chicken at 200 meters also.

now let s go hunting.

Golly I hope the reloading police don't get here and tell you your load is over book max...LOL
Looks good to me

Come on now - someone needs to be the thread buzzkill! Please allow me to play that important role.

You're 0.1 grs over max - danger Will Robinson!

That's only a three-shot group!

Hitzy is right - people rarely try the faster powders, they focus on those slower powders that fill the case more completely and deliver higher MV's. They'll no doubt find a great load, but doing so can possibly cause the shooter to miss out on some other possibly better loads. That said, with so many powders suitable in the 30-06, you can burn out a barrel trying all the combinations.

A lot of people report good accuracy with 4064 in the 30-06 which is good but you lose some velocity compared to the slower powders, but on the other hand you use a lot less powder which is another good thing.

3 shots you are right but that is an hunting rig and a full stock one. you are right only three shots but do not need that much up to now ... on the other side i used what i had in hands and Varget was the one.

enjoy your day.

Phil

PS: on the max load i had a source mentionnned more than .01 grain over it and didnt try it. now i need to measure the velocity.
