I have a Remington yellowjacket, It has a factory bull barrel. I am thinking of putting on a can or suppressor (Dlask XB5) on it. Who has had a barrel turned down to fit. I want to get a little longer tube. This is one of my favorite gopher guns. Thanks AJ

A lot of people run the Linar comp because its profiled to the barrel and clean looking. I tried putting a XB-1 and a fake can on my 64 TR SR and well the XB 1 looked like a coke can on the end of the muzzle and the fake can slightly better but not the best.

I know real suppressors are illegal. I only want to extend the barrel 2-3". I want something that, like RobertMcC said, does not look like a coke can. Not much larger than .930. I may have a buddy turn something out. Have you had a .930 turned to fit a 1/2 x 28 ?

AJ... almost all compensators/brakes designed for 1/2"X28 TPI are already 0.920" to match bull barrels... the XB5 is a .920, so are Shuler, Vais, TacSol etc... you just have to have your barrel threaded... I have done dozens of barrels. Joe Dlask has done many for me but I know they are very busy and may not take small piece work right now, but if you buy his XB5 comp I am betting he will do it for you and fit the comp at the same time.

Well most fake suppressors are 5 to 7" long, and most linars comps are .920 and 2" long ( most HBAR are .920 ) You going to need to find a smith with a lathe small enough because chances are barrel wont be able to be removed. That they be able to put it in the chuck. Don't mind the rust, these new savages barely have any bluing.
